Under the Clinton Administration Mr. Peters was the 19th Secretary of the Air Force, Under Secretary and Acting Secretary of the Air Force, and Principal Deputy General Counsel of the Department of Defense. He is currently a member of the Defense Science Board.
He is a partner at the District of Columbia law firm of Williams & Connolly and was identified as a Washington “Super Lawyer” (2006 - 2010). Mr.Peters is experienced in complex civil and criminal litigation, as well as in issues relating to national security and the Defense Department.
He has written and spoken on defense policy issues, acquisition reform, legal ethics and criminal law issues and has taught at Georgetown University Law School and the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University.
