Lance W. Lord,
General, USAF (Retired)

Gen. Lord retired in April 2006 after 37 years of military service. He last served as Commander, Air Force Space Command during which he was responsible for the development, acquisition and operation of Air Force space and missile systems. Overseeing a global network of satellite command and control, communications, missile warning and launch facilities to ensure the combat readiness of the U.S. intercontinental ballistic missile force, he led more than 39,700 personnel who provided combat capabilities to North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Strategic Command. Upon retirement, Gen Lord has served as a Member of the Board of Directors of CompuDyne, SPACEHAB/Astrotech, Sletten Construction Company, and DataLine. He is also a Distinguished Senior Fellow of the East/West Institute, a Senior Associate of The Durango Group and the IBM Strategic Business Relationships Team, and a Business Advisor to The White Oak Group.
